FAQ'S
Please ensure that your APP is Set to "Scheduling" mode rather than "Eco" or "Comfort" mode.
Programming the schedule is managed through the app. To begin, ensure your SMT-450 is paired with either the Tuya or
Smart Life app. For additional guidance, refer to the user manual accompanying the product.
This is a malfunction with your thermostat. Try replacing the batteries or resetting your thermostat. If this fails, then you will
need to have your thermostat replaced. Contact your installer or Smart Temp.
This can be reset by pressing and holding the "Mode" and "Fan" buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. If this feature is not required it can be disabled via the installer settings, refer to the Apollo Installer Manual
Press and hold the "O/Ride" button for 15 Seconds. The display will show "8815". Adjust this value to "8821" (default Pin is 21 )
using the "UP Arrow" button. Tap the "O/RIDE" button again, the display will show menu location PN21. If you have entered an
incorrect PIN you will be exited from this menu. You will need to contact your installer for PIN or have the thermostat returned to
an authorised Smart Temp agent for re programming. A fee may apply. Tap the "O/RIDE" button again, the display will show
the next menu location "LCO#". (Lock Level) . Adjust this value to "LCOO" then tap the "mode" button to exit installer menu. Your
thermostat is now unlocked. For further information refer to Page 20 & 21 of the installer manual.
The text "Fault" on the SMT-400 DOES NOT indicate a fault with the SMT-400 itself.
It may be shown if your SMT-400 thermostat can not connect to your wireless Wi-Fi network or if the Smart Temp Server is
temporary offline. ( Note : if thermostat is offline you can still operate it locally)
The word "FAULT" can also be triggered from a Building management system.
You will need to carefully remove your thermostat off the wall and change dip switch no.6 to OFF to disable programming. There is 8 switched located on the back of you thermostat.
You will need to Re-pair your SMT-400 thermostat with the Smart Temp APP/ Server if you have changed Internet Service
Provider, Modem or your Wi-Fi SSID. Please follow instruction on App for adding new device.
This could be caused by our server temporarily being offline for maintenance or there is no data connection on your mobile
device.
Replace the 2 AA batteries located in the top right corner of your thermostat with Alkaline type and then test your thermostat
in the heating mode. You should hear a faint click from the thermostat when it switches on and off and the word "HEAT"
should be flashing to indicate it's in Heating. If this fails and you do not hear click, then your thermostat is faulty, you will need
contact your installer or place of purchase to arrange replacement. If you do hear a click from your thermostat and your
heater doesn't start up, then you will need to have your heater serviced by an authorized Plumber.
If you have a battery powered thermostat replace with a fresh set of Alkaline batteries. If it continues to switch off you will need to have your heater serviced by a qualified technician.
This could be caused by using non Alkaline batteries, rechargeable or lithium type batteries. Please make sure you use ALKALINE batteries in all or our battery powered thermostats.
Yes but you will require a 24V neutral connection to your thermostat . You will require a third wire or our SMT-2W5 interface module to be installed by a technician.
This is an internal filter reminder in the thermostat reminding you it’s time to clean your return air filter (if fitted).
