Amazing customer service from people that believe in their product. I emailed on a Friday night requesting trouble shooting help. My email was answered overnight. Unfortunately the troubleshooting didn't work so I rang as advised and told to bring the front screen of the thermostat in. John advised that the 10 year old thermostat shouldn't be doing this, and it was replaced free of charge, regardless that it was no longer under warranty. I'd to share a really helpful and positive experience with John K from SmartTemp. We recently bought a new house, with a SmartTemp Zone Touch pad (however we have no instructions for it). When the device started to behave differently, I was concerned and decided to contact SmartTemp via emai. John responded within hours, with an easy to understand explanation of the situation and how to adjust the device. Best service you can get! Very happy with my thermostat which has great features and works well. More importantly, when the thermostat stopped working after a few years, the support team were very prompt and supportive and replaced it free of charge despite it being past the warranty period. I travelled from Inverloch to Wheelers Hill thinking I needed a new control panel for our 15 year old air conditioning system. Peter from Smart Temp said , ‘yes I can sell you a new one but let’s have a look at the old one.’ Ten minutes later and a few minor adjustments and it was as good as new. I recently installed the Smart Temp SMT-450 Flexistat – WiFi Thermostat, and it has completely modernised my 20-year-old heating and cooling system. As a DIYer I’m capable, but I don’t do this every day — so when I hit a cooling issue after the upgrade, I reached out for help. The Smart Temp team were outstanding. They personally followed up, guided me through the diagnosis, and helped me identify the issue which was actually my mistake. They treated me with patience and professionalism, never making me feel rushed or embarrassed. Don’t bother with appliance stores. Go to an Australian-owned manufacturer who knows their products and stands by them. Smart Temp deliver real expertise, exceptional support, and genuine customer care. Highly recommended.
